CM Punk will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens in the biggest match of this week’s SmackDown. Owens earned the opportunity following his return at SummerSlam, where he won a Fatal Four-Way match to become the number one contender. So it remains to be seen whether he can topple the Second City Saint and become a World Champion again after almost a decade.
WWE Tag Team Championships: Tama Tonga & Talla Tonga (c) vs. R-Truth & Damian Priest
Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga enter Toronto as the newly crowned WWE Tag Team Champions after capturing the titles on last week’s SmackDown. They will now defend the titles against the former champions Damian Priest and R-Truth, so fans are waiting to see whether Truth and Priest can reclaim the titles somehow.
Other Matches and Segments
Blake Monroe is finally set to make her in-ring debut on the main roster, as she will go one-on-one with Giulia. Monroe made her main roster debut by attacking Giulia earlier this year and, they have a lot of history together. So we’ll have to see who’ll come out on top in the end.
Finally, Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton are set to appear on the show as well, ahead of their match at Sunday Night’s Main Event next month.
