WWE has finally announced the date for Royal Rumble 2027, and it looks like the company is sticking with the traditional one-night format. After speculation that the event could eventually follow WrestleMania and SummerSlam by expanding to two nights, WWE has confirmed just one date for next year’s show.

On November 2, 2026, WWE announced that the 40th annual Royal Rumble will take place on Saturday, February 6, 2027, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The company also confirmed that tickets will go on sale November 18. WWE shared the announcement on social media alongside a promotional graphic revealing the date and location.

“WWE, in partnership with Arizona Sports & Events Alliance and Legends Global, today announced the 40th annual #RoyalRumble will be held on Saturday, February 6 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona”

The announcement also gives some clarity to the discussion surrounding a possible two-night Royal Rumble. There had been speculation about WWE eventually expanding the event, especially after WrestleMania and SummerSlam adopted multi-night formats. However, WWE never announced plans for a two-night Royal Rumble in 2027. The possibility had simply become a topic of discussion as the company continued expanding some of its biggest premium live events. With WWE now advertising February 6 as the date, there’s no indication that a second night is planned for 2027.

The event will also mark a major milestone for WWE, as the Royal Rumble celebrates its 40th annual edition. State Farm Stadium previously hosted WrestleMania XXVI in 2010 and is no stranger to hosting major WWE events.

Royal Rumble 2027 will begin the road to WrestleMania 43, with the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches expected to once again play a major role in determining championship challengers for WWE’s biggest event of the year. For now, WWE is keeping the Royal Rumble’s traditional format intact. That doesn’t mean a two-night event couldn’t happen somewhere down the road, but the company’s latest announcement makes it clear that only one night is currently on the calendar for 2027.

Do you think WWE should eventually expand the Royal Rumble to two nights, or should it remain a one-night event? Let us know your thoughts and leave your feedback in the comments below.
