WWE just dropped the opening video for WrestleMania 42, and it’s packed with big-match hype and nods to some of the company’s most memorable moments.

With WrestleMania 42 kicking off in just three days, WWE released the official cold open for night one of the show. The video is narrated by Lin-Manuel Miranda, who is known for his work on Hamilton and has been a longtime wrestling fan. The opening focuses on the feeling of stepping onto WWE’s biggest stage while looking back at past WrestleMania moments and teasing what could happen this year.

Throughout the video, Miranda talks about the unique atmosphere of WrestleMania and how moments created there last forever. The speech sets the tone for the weekend by tying together classic WrestleMania memories with several matches scheduled for this year’s card.

“It’s something you can’t really explain. That feeling when the lights come on, the crowd roars, and you realize there’s no bigger stage than this. No brighter lights. No higher stakes. No louder crowd. And no second takes. It happens once, and it’s forever. Because memories are made in this ring. And we — you and me, the fans — we get to be there for the moments we’ll never forget.”

The narration also references past iconic WrestleMania moments while pointing toward major matches set for this weekend. Names like CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Jade Cargill, and Rhea Ripley were all mentioned as part of the buildup to this year’s show.

“There’s no way to know exactly what drama lies ahead. But we know that we’re here for the pops and the surprises. The memories that will last a lifetime. We are here. We are alive. No second takes. Lights up. The curtain’s about to rise. Welcome to WrestleMania.”

Miranda previously worked with WWE earlier this year when he appeared in another WrestleMania promotional video released in January, making this the second time he’s been tied to the company’s WrestleMania campaign.

WrestleMania 42 takes place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas this Saturday and Sunday. The event will stream live on the ESPN app in the United States and internationally on Netflix, with both nights scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Eastern.

Night one is set to feature Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes defending against Randy Orton, Stephanie Vaquer defending the Women’s World Championship against Liv Morgan, Seth Rollins facing Gunther, Becky Lynch challenging AJ Lee, and an unsanctioned match between Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fatu among several other matches.

Night two will feature World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk defending against Roman Reigns, Jade Cargill facing Rhea Ripley, Sami Zayn defending the United States Championship against Trick Williams, and Brock Lesnar taking on Oba Femi, along with a multi-man ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship.

With the opening video now released and the full card locked in, WWE is officially in the final stretch before WrestleMania weekend begins.
