WWE’s latest round of post-WrestleMania releases kept rolling. Now, another name has been added to the list. This time we’re hearing about a name from NXT.
According to Sean Ross Sapp, Tyson Dupont is the latest to be let go from WWE. His release comes at a tough time, as he had already announced in early April 2026 that he was set to undergo hip surgery after dealing with ongoing pain dating back to the summer of 2025.
Tyson Dupont’s last match came at an NXT house show in February, and he had been part of the High Ryze group alongside Tyriek Igwe. The faction had previously been led by Wes Lee before his own release back in October.
Dupont originally signed with WWE in 2023 and had a relatively quick run that included crossover appearances in TNA Wrestling during 2025 as part of the NXT and TNA partnership. He had a ton of potential, but that didn’t keep him in the company.
Before he broke into pro wrestling, Tyson Dupont came from a track and field background and competed at the University of South Alabama. His next move will likely depend on how that recovery goes and where he decides to land once he’s cleared.
It is always sad to see someone get released. Hopefully, Tyson Dupont can turn this into a blessing because this is certainly not the end of his story.
