WWE may have its eyes on another future breakout star, and Bayley apparently helped make it happen.

Nikki Blackheart recently popped up in a dark match at the WWE Performance Center ahead of NXT, but new backstage details are now painting a much bigger picture about how serious WWE already is about her future.

According to Bryan Alvarez, Blackheart is signed with WWE and has already relocated to Orlando under a standard developmental contract, even though the company still hasn’t publicly announced her arrival. The update gets even more interesting because WWE’s interest in Blackheart reportedly exploded right after WrestleMania 2025.

“Right after Mania 2025 she ended up HEAVILY on WWE’s radar, said to be top five.”

One name reportedly played a huge role in getting WWE’s attention focused on Blackheart — Bayley. According to Alvarez, Bayley spoke very highly of Blackheart internally, and her endorsement essentially guaranteed the up-and-coming wrestler would receive a WWE tryout.

“She was heavily praised by Bayley, so her tryout was basically a guarantee.”

Blackheart reportedly completed her tryout back in February before officially making the move to Orlando. Alvarez added that WWE has her locked into the same kind of Performance Center and NXT contract typically given to developmental recruits, which usually run around three years.

Before wrestling, Blackheart worked as a cheerleader for the NHL’s Florida Panthers and later trained under WWE Hall of Famer Gangrel before catching WWE’s attention. The report also revealed WWE has quietly signed even more talent behind the scenes that still haven’t been publicly acknowledged yet.

“There are also three other names besides Nikki that have been signed but haven’t been announced by WWE yet.”

At this point, WWE clearly sees major upside in Nikki Blackheart, especially with people internally already going to bat for her before she even officially debuts on television.
