WWE is hoping Rhea Ripley will be healthy enough to make the trip home for Wrestlepalooza in Australia this December. Whether she’ll actually be ready to wrestle by then is another question entirely.

During a Q&A session, WrestleVotes was asked about Ripley’s status for Wrestlepalooza on December 12 in Perth. JoeyVotes revealed that WWE is hopeful she’ll be able to travel to Australia if her recovery progresses enough.

“Yeah. Back to Australia they go. I know they’re hopeful she can make it. If she’s healthy enough, she’ll travel over there.”

That doesn’t necessarily mean WWE is expecting Ripley to be cleared for a match. TC indicated that Ripley could still be part of the trip even if her knee prevents her from getting back into the ring by December.

“She’ll be there whether she wrestles or not.”

That distinction matters because Ripley is still in the early stages of recovering from knee surgery. She underwent the procedure after revealing on August 6 that a torn meniscus hadn’t healed without surgery.

Recent footage showed Ripley wearing a large knee brace and using crutches, so there’s still plenty of recovery ahead. She also hasn’t revealed whether doctors repaired the meniscus or removed the damaged portion, which makes putting an exact timetable on her in-ring return difficult.

Wrestlepalooza is set for December 12 at RAC Arena in Perth, Western Australia, giving Ripley a little over three months from now to continue recovering. WWE apparently wants one of its biggest Australian stars there for the homecoming either way—the only question is whether fans will get to see Mami wrestle or simply make an appearance.
