Meghan Walker’s first WWE ring name didn’t even make it to television.
A few months ago, the former WWE NIL standout officially signed on as a full-time NXT talent and reported to the Performance Center. Not long after, everything pointed to her debuting as Kylee Quinn. WWE filed a trademark for the name, Walker switched all of her social media accounts over to it, and even let fans know the change had happened.
That looked like the end of the story, but it wasn’t. Without any announcement from WWE, Walker has quietly scrubbed Kylee Quinn from her social media and replaced it with an entirely different name: Alix Brooks. So somewhere between the trademark filing and her eventual TV debut, WWE changed course. Why? Nobody has officially said.
That hasn’t stopped fans from connecting the dots, though. When the Kylee Quinn name first surfaced, plenty of people noticed how close it was to adult film performer Kylie Quinn. The spelling wasn’t identical, but it sparked enough conversation that many immediately wondered if WWE would rethink the name.
Whether that played a role or not, the outcome is pretty unusual. Most WWE name changes happen after someone has already appeared on television. In Walker’s case, the company hit the reset button before she ever stepped through the curtain.
Now, whenever she finally makes her NXT debut, it won’t be as Kylee Quinn after all. It’ll be under a name fans weren’t expecting just a few days ago—Alix Brooks.
