WWE NXT Results (6/16/26): Live Match Updates and Highlights
The show opens up with Vic Joseph and Corey Graves welcoming us as we see the pre-show arrivals of Jaida Parker, Nattie, Nikkita Lyons and Karmen Petrovic.
We then get a video package looking back at last week’s episode of WWE NXT.
New WWE NXT Women’s North American Champion ZARIA then makes her way down to the ring. ZARIA starts off by saying she spent so long living in Sol Ruca’s shadow that she forgot what the sun even looked like. ZARIA then says she set the women’s division ablaze. ZARIA then says she was treated like an afterthought, but she did it on her own. ZARIA then says she thinks Sol Ruca stole her spotlight. ZARIA then says the future is in her hands. ZARIA then says she doesn’t think she owes anyone gratitude.
Kelani Jordan then makes her way out to interrupt ZARIA. Jordan then congratulates ZARIA on becoming the WWE NXT Women’s North American Champion. ZARIA then asks Jordan if she wants a shot at her title. Jordan then says she is there to offer ZARIA advice. Jordan then says no matter what ZARIA will do, it will never be good enough. Jordan then says if she was ZARIA, she would hold on to the NXT Women’s North American Championship very close. Jordan then talks about Lola Vice facing Kendal Grey at the NXT Great American Bash.
Kendal Grey then makes her way out and says Jordan acts like they have unfinished business, but they don’t. Grey then promises to walk out of NXT Great American Bash as the new WWE NXT Women’s Champion. Grey then says she is open to giving Jordan a shot after the PLE. Lola Vice then makes her way out and she tells ZARIA to get over Sol Ruca already. Vice then turns her attention to Grey. Vice then reminds Grey that she beat her before and that she will beat her again. Robert Stone then makes his way out, but Vice cuts the NXT General Manager off and says the two teams will face each other tonight.
We then see Tavion Heights and Jackson Drake warming up as they will face each other next.
Tavion Heights then makes his way down to the ring for the first match of the night and Jackson Drake follows with Swipe Right and Myka Lockwood.
WWE NXT North American Championship #1 Contender’s Match: Tavion Heights vs. The Vanity Project’s Jackson Drake
The match starts off with Tavion Heights hitting a shoulder tackle. Heights then slams Jackson Drake into the mat. Heights then tosses Drake across the ring and he follows it up with a fallaway slam. Drake then tries to fight back, but Heights tosses him across the ring again. Height then drives his shoulder into the midsection of Drake. The Vanity Project then tries to interfere, allowing Drake to hit a knee. Drake then sends Heights into the steel steps. Back in the ring, drake stomps on Heights’ hands. Drake then hits an Irish whip to Heights.
Heights then hits a German Suplex to Drake for a near fall. Heights then applies a side headlock. Drake then tries to fight back, but Heights throws him again. Both men are now down after a collision. Heights is now fired up. Heights then hits belly-to-belly suplex to Drake and he follows it up with a clothesline for a near fall. Drake then hits Heights with a cutter and he follows it up with a Standing Shooting Star for another near fall. Drake then hits a suicide dive to Heights on the outside. Back in the ring, Drake heads to the top rope, but Heights counters with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Heights then follows it up with a Splash for a two count.
Heights then throws Drake outside the ring, wiping out The Vanity Project and Myka Lockwood. Myles Borne then enters the fray and takes out The Vanity Project. Back in the ring, Heights hits Drake with a Heights of Glory for the win.

After the match, Myles Borne raises Tavion Heights’ hand and Heights pulls it down and he tells Borne he can do it by himself.
We then see Robert Stone with Aaron Rourke, Matt Matthews and Hank & Tank to talk about the Mr. NXT pageant. BirthRight then shows up and Lexis King says they are respecting them by putting Arianna Grace in the Speed Tournament. Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo then tells them to leave while Hank and Tank suggest a match. Stone then says he wants BirthRight to leave.
Thea Hail then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Izzi Dame follows with The Culling.
WWE Women’s Speed Championship Tournament First Round Match: The Culling’s Izzi Dame vs. Thea Hail
The match starts off with both women locking up. Izzi Dame then hits a clothesline. Dame then drops Thea Hail on her face. Dame then goes for a Powerbomb, but Hail counters with a Kimura Lock. The fight then spills to the outside. Hail then goes for Kimura Lock again, but Dame overpowers her and sends her against the hardest part of the apron. Back in the ring, Hail goes for another submission, but Dame fights out of it. Hail then hits Dame with a headbutt. Dame then hits Hail with a flying knee for the win.

We then see Wren Sinclair in the locker room talking about the participants in the Women’s Speed Tournament. Kendal Grey says she will take care of things like she did against Kelani Jordan. Wren then says she was holding Kendal back and Kendal says she isn’t. Kendal then asks Wren if she will be in her corner at the Great American Bash, but Wren mentions she has to defend her title on the show as well. They then say they will both be champions at Great American Bash. Lola Vice then shows up and she asks if they said they would both be champions at NXT Great American Bash. They then talk about the match and Lola says it won’t be an accident next time. Wren then says she is going to get officially cleared.
We then see Tony D’Angelo walk towards a structure. We then see a pre-taped footage of D’Angelo meeting with Naraku ahead of their match at NXT Great American Bash.
Naraku sits at a table and Tony D’Angelo shows up. Naraku then bows and offers Tony a seat. Tony then says he is no fool. Tony then says he knows how these meetings go because he ran a few. Tony then says he wants to know why he is here. Naraku then says he has the contract for them to sign. Tony then says he sees through the nice guy persona. Naraku then says he doesn’t know what Tony means. Tony then says he did his research and he found out how many titles he won. Tony then says Naraku didn’t do it by himself. Naraku then says not to judge him by his past.
Tony then says Naraku is a very evil man and he left for one reason. Tony then says history says Naraku can do a lot. Tony then says you won by any means necessary in Japan, not by the traditional means. Tony then says you came over here by yourself. Tony then says a man without his family. Naraku then says Tony understands. Tony then says you think you can do it on your own at the Bash. Tony then says the title is staying with him. Tony then says he wants to sign the contract. Tony then says Naraku hasn’t signed it. Naraku then says he will give Tony the signed contract next week. Tony then signs and he gives the contract back to Naraku. Tony then leaves. Naraku then says EVIL is coming and smiles.
We then take a look at Nattie and Jaida Parker with a video package. We then see Nattie walking past Nikkita Lyons and Karmen Petrovic.
We then see Robert Stone on the phone and he talks about the tailgate before the Bash. Keanu Carver then shows up and he wants to know who his opponent is going to be. EK Prosper then enters and Stone tells him that he will face Keanu next week. Keanu then says. he wants to face someone different. EK then says he won’t be disrespected. Keanu then tells EK he has a death wish.
Jaida Parker then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Nattie follows.
Singles Match: Nattie vs. Jaida Parker
The match starts off with both women locking up and they get into a shoving fight. Jaida Parker then slaps Nattie across the face. Nattie then fights back and she pounds away at Parker. Parker then sends Nattie to the outside. Back in the ring, both women slap each other. Nattie then applies a side headlock. Parker then goes for a Powerbomb, but Nattie counters with an Ankle Lock. Parker then has Nattie in a submission hold in the middle of the ring, but Nattie puts her foot on the bottom rope to break the hold.
Parker then slaps the taste out of Nattie’s mouth. Parker then hits Nattie with a vicious knee. Nattie then charges in, but Parker sends her to the outside. Both women are now down after a collision. Back in the ring, Parker drives her shoulder into the midsection of Nattie. Nattie then applies a heel hook. Nattie then goes for a Sharp Shooter, but Parker fights out of it. Nattie then applies an Ankle Lock in the middle of the ring. Parker then escapes, but runs into a clothesline. Parker then tries to fight back, but Nattie puts her right back with an old-fashioned abdominal stretch. Parker then fights out of it, but Nattie puts her back in her submission move.
Parker then slides through the ropes, wiping out Nattie. Nattie then knocks Parker out with an elbow. Nattie then clears the announce desk. Nattie then sends Parker back into the ring as it seems like Nattie changed her mind. Back in the ring, Nattie applies a rear chin lock on Parker. Parker then fights out of it and she applies an STF on Nattie. Nattie then tries to crawl all the way to the ropes, breaking the hold. Nattie then bends the body of Parker. Nattie then targets Parker’s ankle. Parker then tries to fight back and she hits Nattie with a snap suplex. Nattie then runs into an elbow. Parker then continues to fight. Parker then hits a vicious elbow and she follows it up with a clothesline.
Nattie then runs into a big boot. Parker then slaps Nattie across her chest. Parker then hits a Hip-notic, but Nattie kicks out at two. Nattie then goes for a Sharp Shooter, but Parker fights out of it. Nattie then applies an Armbar and the fight spills to the outside. Nattie then drops Parker on the floor. Nattie then sends Parker into the steel steps. Nattie then slaps Parker. Back in the ring, Nattie hits Parker with a lariat. Nattie then applies a Sharp Shooter in the middle of the ring and Parker taps out.

After the match, Nikkita Lyons and Karmen Petrovic make their way out to celebrate with Nattie.
We then see Lizzy Rain and Mason Rook walk in the back. Tristan Angels says someone is representing England properly. Tristan then says he is still undefeated and he can call himself Mr. NXT. Aaron Rourke then asks if he can claim that. Tristan then says Shiloh Hill is not cleared to wrestle so if Mr. NXT is not available so he accepts the title. Tristan then says he wants a title match and Aaron accepts the challenge. Lizzy and Mason then want Aaron to kick his a**.
Arianna Grace then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night with BirthRight and Layla Diggs follows.
WWE Women’s Speed Championship Tournament First Round Match: BirthRight’s Arianna Grace vs. Layla Diggs
The match starts off with both women locking up. Arianna Grace and Layla Diggs are now going back and forth and Grace goes down. Diggs then hits Grace with a Shining Wizard for a near fall. Grace then hits a suplex and she follows it up with a forearm for a near fall. Grace then runs into a big boot. Diggs then hits a step-up enziguiri and she follows it up with a kick. Diggs then heads to the top rope, but Stacks gets on the apron. Diggs then takes out Stacks. Diggs then hits a moonsault, wiping out BirthRight. Back in the ring, Grace gets a roll-up for the win.

We then see Dorian Van Dux, Sean Legacy, Romeo Moreno and Noam Dar in the back and Sean asks Noam if he made the right decision. Noam says he wanted to get back on track by himself, but Romeo is persistent. Romeo then says their styles blending together felt better. Noam then says he found his partner. Sean then says he and Dorian are also a team and they need opponents. Dorian then suggests The Culling.
Tate Wilder then cuts a promo and says he has a lot to show about how hard things hit. Tate then shows his broken pinkie. He then says you cannot grow if you cannot take risks. He then says with risks come consequences. He then says he is winless, but he has come close. He then says the win is coming.
It is then announced that there will be a Tailgate and a Watch Party at 6PM before the NXT Great American Bash. It is also announced that in addition to the three title matches, Saquon Shugars will face Dion Lennox.
We then go to the NXT Chronicle for Saquon Shugars. Shugars says he has been called every name in the book. Shugars then says he ain’t no gangsta. Shugars then says he is from Southeast DC. Shugars then says he saw things no kid should see. Shugars then says his grandma told him never to trust anybody. Shugars then says that is why he hustled his way. Shugars then says Cutler James is walking around not knowing what day it is. Shugars then talks about what he did to Osiris Griffin’s leg. Shugars then says it does not matter what they have in their head and it does not match his heart. Shugars then says there were three people who came crawling into his sport and they needed him.
Shugars then says they were on top of the world. Shugars then says anything he could have asked for, he got it from them. Shugars then says they always took a piece of him. Shugars then says it was the dumbest mistake of his life. Shugars then says you made the dumbest decision of your life. Shugars then says this is what he does. Shugars then says he doesn’t have to do it here any more. Shugars then says he is not going back. Shugars then says he is shooting the ones with Dion Lennox at Great American Bash. Shugars then says he will show everyone that he is up next.
We then see Dion Lennox in the back and he tells Saquon we will see who made the mistake. Dion then says he will see him next week.
Kelani Jordan then makes her way down to the ring for the main event of the night and ZARIA follows. Kendal Grey then makes her way down to the ring next and Lola Vice follows.
Tag Team Match: Kelani Jordan and WWE NXT Women’s North American Champion ZARIA vs. Kendal Grey and WWE NXT Women’s Champion and AAA Mixed Tag Team Champion Lola Vice
The match starts off with Lola Vice and Kelani Jordan locking up. Vice then takes Jordan down and tags in Kendal Grey. Grey then hits a double stomp for a near fall. Grey then hits Jordan with a dropkick. ZARIA then comes in and Vice is the legal woman. Both women then lock up. ZARIA then overpowers Vice and hits her a shoulder tackle. ZARIA then hits Vice with a belly to back suplex. Grey then enters the fray and she tries to chop down ZARIA. ZARIA then hits Grey with a knee. Jordan then wipes Grey out behind the referee’s back. Back in the ring, ZARIA sends Grey into the corner and targets her midsection. ZARIA then tries to choke Grey out in the corner.
Jordan is now back in the ring and she continues her beatdown on Grey. Both women then trade strikes in the middle of the ring. Vice then enters the match. Vice then hits a series of clotheslines to Jordan. ZARIA then enters the ring, but Vice sends her to the outside. Vice then hits a hip attack in the corner and ZARIA hits a pump kick. ZARIA then follows it up with a clothesline. Jordan then hits a Frog Splash for a near fall. Jordan then hits a big superkick to the temple. Grey then enters the fray and she hits a series of German Suplexes on Jordan.
Jordan then goes for a Split-Legged Moonsault, but Grey cuts her off. ZARIA then hits Grey with a Spear. ZARIA then goes for an F5, but Grey counters with an armbar. ZARIA then overpowers Grey. ZARIA then goes for a cover, but Vice breaks the fall. Jordan and Vice are now in a collision and all four women are down. Vice then makes a blind tag. ZARIA then hoists her up, but Vice applies a Body Scissors. Grey then locks Jordan in an Ankle Lock. ZARIA then sends herself into the steel post. ZARIA then hits Vice with a Spear on the outside. We then see Tatum Paxley in the NXT Universe and ZARIA seems distracted. As ZARIA turns around, Vice hits her with a roundhouse kick. Vice then hits a spinning back fist for the win.

After the match, Paxley hits a cross body off the ringside barrier to ZARIA. Officials then make their way down to the ring to separate them. Vice then holds up her championship belt, but Jordan grabs the belt. Grey then pulls the belt away from Jordan and she accidentally hits Vice with it. Grey then apologizes to Vice and insists that she didn’t mean to hit her as Jordan watches from behind them and smiles as the show comes to a close.
