The October 20 episode of WWE NXT is shaping up to be a great show, and it will build towards the Halloween Havoc Premium Live Event. So, the company has booked solid matches to keep fans engaged throughout the night.
Cruz Montana vs. Dion Lennox
This one has gotten personal pretty quickly. The problems between Cruz Montana and Dion Lennox started after Montana opened up about the struggles he and his parents went through growing up. Lennox responded by telling Montana that his time had passed and pointing toward his own background as a Division I athlete. Once Lennox brought Montana’s mother into it, Montana attacked him.
Lennox took things even further last week. Montana was backstage talking to his mother on the phone when Lennox jumped him from behind. Lennox then redialed Montana’s mother himself and threatened to send her son back to the struggles he’d fought his way out of.
Now there isn’t much left to talk about. Montana finally gets Lennox in the ring tonight, and after Lennox dragged his family into this, winning probably isn’t the only thing on Montana’s mind.
Vanity Project vs. E.K. Prosper, Mini Vikingo & Chazz “Starboy” Hall
Mini Vikingo and Chazz Hall didn’t take last week’s Dusty Cup loss quietly. The pair nearly knocked NXT Tag Team Champions Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes out of the tournament. Vikingo and Hall pushed the champions throughout the match before Smokes made a timely tag, countered Hall’s Shooting Star Press and helped Vanity Project hit Hit It And Quit It for the win.
Things didn’t end with the bell. A backstage confrontation followed, and now E.K. Prosper is joining Vikingo and Hall against the entire Vanity Project trio of Baylor, Smokes and Jackson Drake.
Vanity Project already has its Dusty Cup semifinal against Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno waiting down the road. Before worrying about that, Baylor and Smokes have to deal with two guys they eliminated last week and a third partner who has every reason to help them make life difficult for the NXT Tag Team Champions.
Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Quarterfinal Matches: The Creed Brothers vs. Hank & Tank, The Wagner Brothers vs. BirthRight
The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Quarterfinals continue and WWE has booked two matches this week. The first one will see the Creed Brothers take on Hank & Tank. The second match will feature the Wagner Brothers duking it out with BirthRight. So it remains to be seen who will advance in the tournament.
