The November 4 episode of WWE NXT is shaping up to be a great show, and it will deal with the fallout from the Halloween Havoc Premium Live Event. So, the company has booked solid matches to keep fans engaged throughout the night.

NXT Championship: Grayson Waller (c) vs. CM Punk

Grayson Waller survived Tony D’Angelo at Halloween Havoc. His reward is CM Punk. Waller retained the NXT Championship against D’Angelo after using a crowbar while the referee was down before finishing the former champion with the Rolling Stunner.

He didn’t get much time to celebrate. After the match, Halloween Havoc host Danhausen introduced a video from Punk, who challenged Waller to put the championship on the line on November 4. That means Punk will wrestle inside an NXT ring for the first time in more than 16 years, and he’s not coming back for a warm-up match. He’s going straight after the biggest championship on the brand. Waller has found ways to survive every challenger thrown at him so far. Punk is a completely different test.

NXT Women’s Championship: Kelani Jordan (c) vs. Mystery Opponent

Kelani Jordan knows she’s defending her championship. She just doesn’t know who she’s defending it against. Jordan successfully retained the NXT Women’s Championship against Wren Sinclair at Halloween Havoc, but NXT General Manager Robert Stone didn’t give her much time to enjoy the win.

Stone informed Jordan that another championship defense was waiting for her on Wednesday. The catch is that her opponent hasn’t been revealed. That leaves Jordan preparing for pretty much anybody. There isn’t a specific style to study or challenger to prepare for, and whoever walks through that curtain will have the advantage of knowing exactly who they’re facing. Jordan has already survived Sinclair. Now she has to defend the title with no idea what’s coming.

Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Final: Noam Dar & Romeo Moreno vs. Hank & Tank

The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic comes down to two teams. Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno fought their way through Fraxiom before knocking off NXT Tag Team Champions Vanity Project in the semifinals.

Hank Walker and Tank Ledger had their own difficult road. They survived the Creed Brothers before eliminating AAA World Tag Team Champions The Wagner Brothers to reach the final. Now there’s only one match left.

There’s also somebody pretty important waiting to hand the winners their trophy. Cody Rhodes will appear to present the Dusty Cup, adding another personal connection to a tournament created in honor of his father. Dar and Moreno or Hank and Tank will leave Wednesday night as the 2026 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic winners.

Unsanctioned Match: Cruz Montana vs. Dion Lennox – Special Guest Referee Michael Chandler

Cruz Montana and Dion Lennox have been trying to hurt each other for weeks. NXT is finally taking the normal rules out of the way.

Their rivalry became increasingly personal after Lennox brought Montana’s family into things. Lennox even attacked Montana backstage while he was speaking with his mother before using Montana’s phone to threaten him.

Their problems continued from there, and Halloween Havoc finally produced the match designed to settle it. Montana and Lennox will meet in an Unsanctioned Match, meaning WWE isn’t giving either man many restrictions once the bell rings.

There’s one more wrinkle. UFC star Michael Chandler will serve as the special guest referee, putting someone very familiar with a fight right in the middle of one of NXT’s nastiest rivalries.

Chad Gable, Rey Fenix & Dragon Lee vs. The Vanity Project

Vanity Project is getting three visitors from WWE’s main roster, and they’re not exactly easy opponents. NXT North American Champion Jackson Drake teams with NXT Tag Team Champions Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes to represent the group against Chad Gable, Rey Fenix and Dragon Lee.

Vanity Project might be covered in championships, but Wednesday hasn’t been shaping up particularly well for the group. Baylor and Smokes were eliminated from the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic by Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno, while Drake now has to deal with three experienced opponents alongside his stablemates.

Gable, Fenix and Lee also bring three very different styles into the match, giving Vanity Project something completely different to deal with. The championships aren’t on the line, but beating three champions together would still make quite a statement.

John Cena Appearance

John Cena’s week isn’t finished yet. After returning to Raw in Brooklyn, the retired 17-time World Champion is heading to NXT for Wednesday’s special episode.

WWE hasn’t announced exactly what Cena will be doing on the show, which leaves his appearance as one of the night’s bigger unknowns.

The timing is interesting because the inaugural John Cena Classic is approaching in December. Cena’s recent return has already put more attention on the tournament, so NXT could provide another opportunity to reveal what’s coming. There’s also an entire NXT roster that could potentially cross paths with him. For now, WWE is only promising that Cena will be there.

Cody Rhodes Presents the Dusty Cup

Cody Rhodes will also make a special appearance for the conclusion of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Cody will present the trophy to either Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno or Hank Walker and Tank Ledger after the tournament final. That gives the conclusion a fitting connection to Dusty Rhodes himself, with Cody there as the latest winners add their names to the tournament’s history.
