WWE NXT is bringing back the Great American Bash, and Shawn Michaels made the announcement himself.
Michaels revealed on social media that NXT Great American Bash will take place on Sunday, June 28, with the event airing on The CW Network. The show is set for a special start time of 7 PM ET.
The announcement gives NXT another major event on its current television home, as the brand continues its run on The CW Network every Tuesday night. A location for Great American Bash was not announced.
Michaels addressed fans directly while making the announcement, joking about the kind of content people are used to seeing from him these days before getting to the big news.
“Hello, boys and girls. Now, I know everybody’s used to seeing me these days doing my crazy posts on Instagram and TikTok, but everybody’s been asking me, when is the first ple on the CW Network?”
Michaels then confirmed that Great American Bash will be the event coming to The CW Network on June 28. He also confirmed the special start time for the event.
“Well, that’s what this announcement is for June 28, CW Network at NXT are going to bring you the Great American Bash. This partnership is moving forward at the Great American bash on June 28th.”
“We’ll have a special start time of 7pm.”
Michaels also used the announcement to remind fans about NXT’s regular Tuesday night broadcast on The CW Network, including Tony D’Angelo defending the NXT Championship against Cam Hendricks.
“Tonight. Don’t forget to join us on the CW Network at 8pm as Tony D’ Angelo defends NXT championship against Cam Hendricks. Watch us tonight on the CW.”
NXT Great American Bash has been one of the brand’s familiar summer events over the years, and now it is officially back on the calendar for June 28. With the show airing on The CW Network and starting at 7 PM ET, WWE is giving the event a clear spot outside the usual Tuesday night NXT schedule.
WWE has not announced the location for NXT Great American Bash yet, so fans will have to wait for more details about where the event will take place and what matches will be added to the card.
