The Money in the Bank Premium Live Event is expected to be one of the best shows of the year and that’s exactly why WWE has ensured the card is stacked and full of star power. Therefore, fans can look forward to a night of great action and memorable moments.
World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. LA Knight
LA Knight has tried to take a world championship from Roman Reigns before. This time, the circumstances are very different. Knight challenged Reigns for the WWE Championship at Crown Jewel 2023 and was involved in the Fatal 4-Way title match at Royal Rumble 2024, but interference played a major part in keeping the championship around Reigns’ waist both times.
Reigns’ current World Heavyweight Championship reign has been different. Since winning the title at WrestleMania 42, he’s been getting through challengers without needing The Bloodline to save him. At Money in the Bank, Knight has another chance to find out whether he can actually beat Reigns when there isn’t an army standing between him and the championship. So we’ll have to see if Knight can somehow beat the OTC and become a world champion in WWE.
Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match: CM Punk vs. Kevin Owens vs. Trick Williams vs. Penta vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Bron Breakker
CM Punk, Kevin Owens, Trick Williams, Penta, Je’Von Evans and Bron Breakker make up this year’s men’s field, and there’s a pretty interesting mix of former world champions and wrestlers trying to reach that level for the first time.
Punk and Owens already know what being world champion feels like. Punk is looking for a quick route back into the title picture after losing the WWE Championship to Sami Zayn, while Owens has gone nearly a decade without another world title reign. For Breakker, Penta, Trick and Evans, winning the briefcase could completely change where they sit in WWE. So we’ll just have to see who’ll become Mr. Money in the Bank this year.
Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Jacy Jayne vs. Tiffany Stratton vs. Lash Legend vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Sol Ruca vs. Lola Vice
The women’s Money in the Bank match has a lot of wrestlers looking for their first world championship opportunity. Jacy Jayne, Lash Legend, Roxanne Perez, Sol Ruca and Lola Vice have all won gold in WWE, but none has captured the WWE Women’s Championship or Women’s World Championship, except Stratton. The match is expected to be a pretty physical one, and Stratton has the edge because of her experience in ladder matches. So fans are waiting to see who’ll win when all is said and done.
Other Matches
Oba Femi will go one-on-one with Bronson Reed and this feud has been building up since Reed came back at Sunday Night’s Main Event. Finally, Stephanie Vaquer will defend the Women’s World Championship against Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan in a triple threat match, where anyone could walk away the winner.
