Roxanne Perez may be the only woman in her group without championship gold, but that could be exactly where WWE wants her. With Liv Morgan holding the Women’s World Championship and Raquel Rodriguez carrying the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, Perez is now being discussed backstage as a possible breakout name.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select brought up Perez while discussing Liv’s SummerSlam victory over IYO SKY. Liv has tightened her grip on the women’s division, while Raquel has added another title to the group. That leaves Roxanne standing beside two champions with nothing around her own waist.
TC said Perez is a name he has heard connected to a possible push down the road, with WWE potentially using her current position as the fuel for her next move.
“I’m very much looking forward to seeing what that means for Roxanne Perez, another name that I’ve been hearing backstage as maybe a potential push down the road.”
The setup is sitting right there. Liv and Raquel have the gold, while Roxanne is forced to watch from the side. That gap could lead to jealousy, frustration or Perez deciding she needs to step out and take something for herself.
“I can kind of see the writing on the wall with everyone around her having championship gold besides herself. Maybe that’s the breakout moment that she can use to elevate herself moving forward.”
No specific title program or timetable was given, so this does not mean WWE has already locked Perez into a championship win. What it does show is that her name is being discussed backstage while the company builds a clear reason for her character to demand more.
Perez already has the résumé, the attitude and the experience to move higher on the card. Now WWE has surrounded her with champions and given her a reason to stop playing the background role.
The longer Roxanne stands beside Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez without gold, the more obvious the story becomes. WWE can either use that frustration to launch her toward a championship or let it tear the group apart from the inside.
