Blake Monroe’s SmackDown debut isn’t just about showing up anymore — WWE already has plans lined up for her.
After WWE aired a vignette for “The Glamour” during the April 24 edition of SmackDown, reports quickly followed suggesting Monroe is expected to officially debut on the blue brand before the end of May.
Now there’s another report— and this time it involves her creative direction. According to Cory Hays of BodySlam.net, Monroe is expected to immediately enter the mid-card title scene once she begins appearing on SmackDown. So that points directly toward the WWE Women’s United States Championship picture, which is currently centered around champion Tiffany Stratton.
“She’s expected to pop up in the mid card title scene.”
The timing lines up with WWE actively reshaping the SmackDown women’s division following WrestleMania season. Monroe already gotten a lot of attention during her time in NXT thanks to her “Glamour” character presentation, and WWE has continued teasing her arrival with promotional vignettes rather than rushing her directly onto television.
Her expected placement in the Women’s United States Title scene also makes it obvious WWE sees her as more than just another call-up filling roster space. Instead of slowly introducing her in the background, the company appears ready to immediately slot her into a featured role around championship programs.
So, Blake Monroe’s SmackDown debut isn’t just about showing up on television. WWE now appears to have plans for her directly in the Women’s United States Championship mix, putting her in a major feud with Tiffany Stratton almost immediately after arriving on the blue brand.
Do you think Blake Monroe should be pushed into the title picture right away, or would WWE be better off building her up slowly before giving her a championship feud? Let us know your thoughts.
