WWE LFG is about to hit the finish line.
The season finale is locked in for Sunday, September 6, with the final episode airing at 10 PM ET on A&E. That means there are only a couple more weeks before WWE wraps up the current season and puts a bow on everything that’s been building throughout the show.
WWE brought the show back on April 26 with a revamped format, ditching the old teams and points system and putting more of the spotlight directly on the wrestlers trying to prove they belong in WWE. WWE promoted the season as an “all-new format,” with Booker T, Bubba Ray Dudley, Kevin Owens and Nattie serving as coaches alongside several special guests.
Kali Armstrong has been one of the wrestlers featured heavily throughout the season, while Elijah Holyfield returned after an injury layoff and even stepped into the ring with his mentor Apollo Crews. PJ Vasa, Harlem Lewis, Sirena Linton and several others have also been put through matches and coaching sessions as the competition has moved along.
The show has also played around with identities and character development. Anthony Luke returned with a new name and attitude as Kam Hendrix, while a recent episode centered around Bayley Humphrey getting an opportunity under the Myka name.
WWE hasn’t kept the coaching limited to the regular crew either. Terry Taylor appeared earlier in the season to give the wrestlers a WrestleMania-sized lesson, while Johnny Gargano later returned to work with Kali Armstrong and Chantel Monroe. And there’s still business to handle before the finale.
No extra details about the finale have been revealed yet, so fans will have to tune in to see exactly how WWE closes things out. WWE LFG airs its season finale September 6 at 10 PM ET on A&E.
