Mike Santana may have a big decision coming soon, and WWE appears to be keeping an eye on the situation.

Santana is expected to become a free agent this year, with his TNA contract believed to be up this summer. That already made his future worth watching, but a new update adds more fuel to the story.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select noted that WWE has interest in acquiring Santana. The update also stated that there is strong internal support for him from at least one member of WWE’s main roster.

Santana’s work and professionalism are also said to be highly regarded, which could help his case if WWE decides to make a serious push to bring him in.

There is no word yet on which brand Santana would land on if he signs with WWE. However, WrestleVotes claimed that WWE would like to have him on the main roster by the end of the year if they are able to land him.

That makes the timing very interesting. Santana is currently one of TNA’s top stars, and his contract situation could become one of the bigger free agency stories of the summer.

Santana has rebuilt himself in a major way during his TNA run, and WWE interest would only make his next move even more important. Whether he stays with TNA or makes the jump to WWE, it looks like Santana will have options when his deal is up.
