Raquel Rodriguez apparently wanted WWE to take her awkward little Judgment Day interactions with Carlito a lot further. In fact, she had one specific idea that could have turned all of his flirting into an actual storyline.

During her appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Rodriguez talked about working with both R-Truth and Carlito during their time around Judgment Day. Despite both men constantly trying to make her laugh, Rodriguez said she was usually pretty good at keeping a straight face.

“No, they’ve gotten a smirk out of me, and that’s about it. You know what I mean? I’m pretty good at holding it together, but they’re so funny, like, on and off. There’s not a moment that I can think of with either one that I was not smiling or laughing or having a good time. They’re just such great energy, and I just wish they were always around. Like, I wish R-Truth would try and join Judgment Day again. That was a pretty ridiculous storyline.”

Carlito apparently came dangerously close to cracking her a few times. Rodriguez specifically remembered his attempts to butter her up during their Judgment Day interactions.

“Oh, that’s a tough one. That’s a tough one because there’s actually a lot of those, whereas you might see me just kind of, like, you know, do one of those because I’m like, ‘Don’t smile, don’t smile. Think about something else.’ Carlito almost got me a couple times too when he was trying to, you know, butter me up, whatever it was.”

Turns out Rodriguez actually wanted to see where all that flirting could go. She admitted that she hoped WWE would eventually give the two characters a date.

“You know, I don’t know. I think we were trying to see where it was going to go. I did wish that we would’ve had a moment of, like, a final date or something, you know? That would’ve been fun.”

And this apparently wasn’t just something Rodriguez came up with after the fact. When Van Vliet asked whether the idea had ever actually been discussed, she revealed that the possibility had come up between them.

“A little bit, yeah. Just brought up, you know, here and there between us. But yeah, I think that would’ve been kind of fun. But who knows? Maybe there’s hope for the future.”

Van Vliet immediately jumped on that last part and asked whether Rodriguez was essentially telling Carlito he still had a shot. She happily played along.

“Carlito, there’s still a chance.”

Rodriguez even had some advice for Carlito if he ever decides to try again. Apparently, all the smooth talking can go out the window — she’d rather he simply get to the point.

“Yeah, just be open, you know. Just be blunt about it. Yeah, let a girl know.”

Carlito may no longer be with WWE, but Rodriguez’s comments reveal there was at least some thought about taking their Judgment Day chemistry beyond the occasional flirting. The date never happened before his 2025 departure, leaving it as one of those ridiculous little storyline ideas that could have been a lot of fun if WWE had actually pulled the trigger
