John Cena isn’t slowing down anytime soon, and WWE has now added two more dates to his schedule ahead of the John Cena Classic.
WWE announced on November 3 that the 17-time World Champion will appear on the November 13 episode of SmackDown and the November 16 episode of Raw. The appearances come as Cena continues building toward his upcoming tournament at Disney World.
Cena returned during the November 2 episode of WWE Raw, where he revealed the John Cena Classic Championship and confirmed that the event will take place on December 14 at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.
During that appearance, Cena also announced that he would be attending Wednesday’s NXT and Survivor Series on November 28, while teasing additional appearances on Raw and SmackDown. WWE has now confirmed two of those dates.
The John Cena Classic will feature wrestlers from Raw and SmackDown competing alongside NXT talent, with Cody Rhodes already announced as the first participant. Club WWE members will also have the opportunity to vote for the top performance of the night.
The December 14 event will air live on Netflix as a special edition of Monday Night Raw, with WWE continuing to announce additional participants in the weeks leading up to the show.
Cena has already made it clear that the tournament means a lot to him, and his growing WWE schedule suggests he’ll be personally involved in building the event rather than simply showing up on December 14.
With multiple appearances lined up across Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and Survivor Series, Cena will have plenty of opportunities to introduce more competitors and explain what WWE has planned for the John Cena Classic.
