According to Wrestling Inc, Carlito’s absence is due to the fact that he was “never officially booked for the show at all.” This is strange because WWE did promote him, and their social media team also sent out posts with his image.
WWE reportedly “sent out feelers” to many talents from the past, including Carlito, but “someone internally” announced him before he was officially booked.
It was specifically noted that this was not an issue with travel, or due to any COVID-19 restrictions. It is also reported that there is no bad blood between the two sides.
