AEW Dynamite: Blood & Guts ended with one of the most shocking moments of the night, as Darby Allin was thrown from the top of the cage in a brutal scene that closed the show.
The moment came after the main event during AEW Dynamite: Blood & Guts, when the chaos still wasn’t over. With tensions already at a breaking point, Kyle grabbed a microphone and gave Wardlow a simple instruction, “do it”
Wardlow didn’t hesitate. Moments later, Wardlow launched Darby Allin off the top of the cage, sending him crashing through a stack of tables below. The impact was the kind of visual that immediately took over the ending of the broadcast, with AEW choosing to let that violent image serve as the final shot before the show went off the air.
Given Darby’s history of putting his body on the line, seeing him take another massive fall is never completely out of character. Even so, being thrown from the top of the cage through multiple tables took things to another level and instantly became the defining moment of the closing segment.
The spot also made it clear just how far Wardlow was willing to go once Kyle told him to follow through. Rather than a warning or a tease, this was a full commitment to inflicting damage, and Darby paid the price in a huge way.
AEW has ended plenty of shows with chaos before, but this was the kind of scene designed to leave viewers talking the second the broadcast ended. What did you think of Wardlow throwing Darby Allin off the top of the cage, and was it the right way to end Blood & Guts?
