He says he watched Teen Mom during the entire Rollins/Ambrose vs. Sheamus/Cesaro segment, because he couldn’t care less about either of those matches. He thought Mickie James looked great in her backstage promo with Emma, but he’s not sure what Emma was trying to do on the mic because it was ‘horrible’ and ‘horrifying’.

Russo thought the promo segment between John Cena and Roman Reigns was great, and it proves that wrestling doesn’t need to have stupid storylines about illegitimate sons. There’s enough real things happening day to day to write five great hours of television each week. Russo adds that if anybody wrote this it was John Cena, because nobody at WWE is capable of writing this type of stuff.

Russo thought Cena was a pro at work here, in the way he pushed Reigns to the limit in order to make him better in the long run. He says that Cena did more for Reigns in this 10-minute segment than Vince McMahon has done for him over the last three years.

He concludes by saying that McMahon should be embarrassed because he took this fantastic promo segment and turned it into another horrifying wrestling angle. He feels that McMahon has to be getting old and missing a step or two if he thought it was a good idea to send Anderson and Gallows out there and have a tag team match after that terrific promo segment.
