Russo and Gilbertti discuss the chances that we’ll see Daniel Bryan return to in-ring action in WWE. Gilbertti says that he severely doubts Bryan will ever wrestle in WWE again, even if he were to sign a waiver taking complete responsibility of his health while in the ring. Gilbertti also points out that by having Bryan sign that kind of waiver before competing, they’d basically be admitting that they’re putting an unhealthy performer in the ring.

Lane points out that Paul Heyman did an interview this past week, in which he claimed that he’s the only relevant on-air talent left in the wrestling business from the old NWA days. He went on to say that while some people thought the way he carried himself back in the day was basically career suicide, he credits this behaviour for keeping him in the business

Russo says that everyone knows why Heyman has lasted in the business for this long: he’s a politician. When the going gets tough, Heyman knows how to swing things in his favour backstage and he’s been doing it for decades. Gilbertti says that Heyman’s schtick desperately needs a makeover, and he needs to manage someone other than Lesnar.

Lane mentions that last weekend’s NXT Takeover: War Games event didn’t sell out. Gilbertti says that this isn’t a real issue because NXT isn’t going to sell out big arenas every weekend. They will sellout their Takeover shows during SummerSlam and WrestleMania weekend because fans travel from all over the world for those events, but the other Takeover shows will have a hard time selling out arenas.
