Vince Russo just dropped one hell of a claim involving Dolly Parton and Hulk Hogan—and even Jonathan Coachman didn’t see this one coming. While remembering Parton following her death at 80, Russo revealed an old wrestling locker-room rumor he says had been passed around for decades.

The conversation started with Coachman praising Parton on the Coach and Bro podcast as one of the most universally loved entertainers in the world. Russo then asked if he could drop a “bombshell” involving Parton and a major WWF star. Russo said he first heard the story during the 1990s and suggested there could be some substance behind it because Parton and the wrestler had worked together.

“It’s one of these stories that kind of goes around a wrestling locker room. I heard—and people can do the research—there was a time when they worked together. That’s why there could be some substance to what I’m about to drop.”

Russo then claimed he had heard that Parton had some kind of encounter with a prominent WWF superstar. Coachman had never heard the rumor and immediately wanted to know who Russo was talking about. Before naming the wrestler, Russo made it clear that he was repeating locker-room gossip and not presenting the claim as a verified fact. Russo then revealed the name at the center of the story.

“Bro, I had heard many, many years ago that Dolly Parton, hey-nanny-nanny, with a very prominent WWF superstar.”

“Let me just say this was rumor. This was rumor. This was kind of talked about in the locker room, but definitely they worked together and spent time together. That’s a fact. Dolly Parton and one Hulk Hogan.”

Coachman wasn’t buying it, sayin, “I do not believe that at all.” Russo stood by the fact that he had heard the story for years, but he continued to describe it strictly as an old wrestling rumor. He also repeated that Parton and Hogan had worked together at one point.

“That is a wrestling locker-room rumor, and they definitely worked together at one time.”

Coachman pointed out the massive size difference between the two, joking that Parton was around five feet tall while Hogan stood close to six-foot-nine. Russo said the rumor was the first thing that came to mind after hearing about Parton’s death because it had stuck with him for decades.

“That’s what I thought of yesterday. When that happened, I thought of it because that was a story I heard about for years and years and years.”

Before moving on, Russo issued one final disclaimer. He stressed that he had no evidence supporting the claim and had only heard it through wrestling locker-room gossip.

“Again, there are no facts behind this. It’s hearsay and gossip. I want to be straight about that. But yeah, that’s something I had heard for many, many years.”

Russo never claimed to have firsthand knowledge, and Coachman openly rejected the idea as soon as Hogan’s name came up. Still, Russo has now taken a decades-old locker-room rumor and put it out in public for wrestling fans to debate.

What do you make of Vince Russo’s Dolly Parton and Hulk Hogan claim—could there be anything behind it, or is this nothing more than old locker-room nonsense? Let us know what you think and leave your feedback in the comments.
