WWE Crown Jewel 2026 is just one day away, and the United States Embassy in Saudi Arabia is getting involved in the excitement, making a public statement about WWE’s role in strengthening relations between the two countries.
On November 6, the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh took to Twitter to promote the November 7 Premium Live Event, describing Crown Jewel as an example of American sports diplomacy. The embassy specifically pointed out that WWE is an American company headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, and credited the promotion with bringing people from different countries together.
The message made it clear that Crown Jewel is being viewed as more than another wrestling show, with the embassy emphasizing the international reach of American sports entertainment.
“American sports diplomacy comes to Riyadh! We are thrilled to share the excitement as WWE Crown Jewel returns to Saudi Arabia this weekend! Crown Jewel is entirely created, owned, and produced by @WWE, a wholly American professional wrestling promotion headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut. American sports entertainment exports create shared unforgettable experiences, strengthening the bonds between the American and Saudi people.”
WWE has been running major events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, with Crown Jewel becoming a regular part of the company’s international schedule. The relationship is set to reach another milestone in 2027 when Saudi Arabia hosts WrestleMania 43, marking the first WrestleMania held outside North America.
This year’s Crown Jewel takes place at the ANB Arena, also known as The Venue, in Riyadh. The event was originally scheduled for Riyadh Season Stadium at KAFD before WWE moved the show to the indoor arena.
Despite the venue change, WWE is moving forward with a card featuring Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn, Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Liv Morgan, and several other major names.
