Liv Morgan may have retained the Women’s World Championship at SummerSlam, but it’s something that happened under the ring that’s suddenly getting people talking.
New footage making the rounds online shows Raquel Rodriguez crawling underneath the ring well before she officially appeared during Morgan’s title defense against IYO SKY, revealing just how early WWE had the interference planned.
Judging by the video, Raquel was already waiting beneath the ring while Morgan and SKY were still tearing into each other, long before she eventually emerged alongside Roxanne Perez to swing the momentum in the champion’s favor.
Once she finally appeared, the rest played out exactly as fans saw on television. Rodriguez and Perez rushed to ringside to help Morgan, only for IYO SKY to wipe both women out with a dive to the outside. The distraction still gave Morgan the opening she needed, and the Women’s World Champion capitalized by putting SKY away to keep her title.
It’s not unusual for wrestlers to hide under the ring before surprise run-ins, but actually catching someone getting into position is a different story—and that’s exactly why the footage has started making the rounds online.
The discovery comes less than a day after Morgan showed off a bruised eye from the match, joking on social media that IYO SKY still couldn’t make her ugly despite leaving a visible mark on the champion.
The black eye may have been the first thing Morgan wanted everyone to notice after SummerSlam. Instead, it’s the person hiding under the ring who’s stealing the conversation now.
What do you think of the footage? Did WWE get caught giving away the interference too early, or is this just part of how wrestling works behind the scenes? Let us know in the comments below.
