Liv Morgan walked out of SummerSlam with the Women’s World Championship still around her waist, but she didn’t leave the match untouched.
After defeating IYO SKY on the first night of WWE SummerSlam 2026, Morgan took to Twitter and showed off a minor injury near her left eye. The champion posted a close-up photo revealing visible redness and bruising from the match.
Morgan didn’t seem too bothered by it. She used the moment to take another shot at SKY while making it clear she still thought she looked good.
“Iyo, you could never make me ugly.”
The injury came after Morgan and SKY opened SummerSlam Saturday with a physical Women’s World Championship match. The two traded near falls and took the fight outside the ring before Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez arrived to support Morgan. SKY wiped both women out with a dive, but Morgan survived the chaos and eventually hit two finishers before scoring the clean pinfall.
The win kept Morgan’s title reign alive and gave her a major victory over the woman who won the 2026 Queen of the Ring tournament and personally chose her as the SummerSlam opponent.
Morgan may have left with a bruised eye, but she also left with the championship. Based on her post-match reaction, she wasn’t about to let a little damage ruin the moment.
