AEW Dynamite just got even bigger, as two new matches have officially been added to the April 29 lineup, including a championship defense and a tag team showdown tied to an ongoing rivalry.
Tony Khan confirmed that Christian Cage and Cope — collectively known as Cage & Cope — will team up to face Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta of RPG Vice.
This tag match comes with extra tension attached. RPG Vice has been working alongside Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler of FTR, who recently challenged Cage & Cope to an “I Quit” match at AEW Double or Nothing. With that feud heating up, this match could serve as a major preview of what’s ahead.
The second new addition to the show will see Kazuchika Okada put his AEW International Championship on the line against Ace Austin. Okada has been dominant since capturing the title, and Austin now gets a huge opportunity to try and take the gold from one of the most decorated names in wrestling.
With these new matches locked in, the April 29 episode of AEW Dynamite now features a loaded lineup packed with title matches and major appearances.
With multiple championships on the line and rivalries continuing to build toward Double or Nothing, this episode of Dynamite is shaping up to carry serious momentum heading into the next major event.
