Roman Reigns just got two steps closer to finding out who’s coming for his WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
The August 17 episode of WWE RAW featured two tournament matches tied directly to a future title shot against Reigns, and both Rey Fenix and Dragon Lee survived their first-round tests.
Fenix was up first against El Fiscal, who was making his WWE debut. Fiscal pushed him hard and nearly caught him with a spinning tombstone, but Fenix escaped, blasted him with a running knee and finished the job with the muscle buster to move on.
Later in the show, Dragon Lee went to war with El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. Wagner threw everything at him, including a big splash and a superplex, but Lee stayed alive and eventually hit Operation Dragon for the win.
Now both are one step closer to the biggest prize on RAW—and one step closer to standing across the ring from Roman Reigns.
