AEW has announced two major women’s matches for next week’s Collision on June 6 in Youngstown, Ohio.
The biggest match announced will see Persephone face Stardom standout Hazuki in the opening round of the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
The match was made official after Hazuki defeated Maya World during the May 30 episode of Collision. Persephone watched the bout from the commentary desk before coming face-to-face with Hazuki following the victory.
The tournament matchup comes as the Women’s Owen Hart Cup continues to take shape following Willow Nightingale’s injury and withdrawal from the tournament.
AEW also confirmed that the Women’s Tag Team Championships will be on the line next week. After becoming the first team to survive five minutes against the dominant champions, TayJay has earned a title opportunity against Megan Bayne and Lena Kross.
