Trish Stratus just cleared up a WWE mystery that fans have been getting wrong for decades. That famous laugh at the beginning of her entrance music does not belong to Stratus—it came from Lil’ Kim.

Speaking during a live interview with Chris Van Vliet in Toronto, Stratus was asked about the recognizable giggle that plays before her music kicks in. Plenty of fans in the building believed they had been hearing Stratus all these years, but she quickly set them straight.

“Yeah, okay, wait. It’s actually Lil’ Kim, and not many people know that. I get it all the time. People come up and we’re chatting, and they’re like, ‘Oh, there’s the giggle.’ I go, ‘Oh, that’s actually not my giggle. It’s actually Lil’ Kim.’”

The laugh comes from Lil’ Kim’s part in the entrance song and has been tied to Stratus throughout her WWE career. It became such a big part of her presentation that fans still recognize it before the rest of the music even starts.

Stratus also made it clear that this is not some occasional misunderstanding. Fans hear her laugh during conversations and immediately think they have discovered the voice from the entrance, forcing her to break the news that they have been listening to Lil’ Kim the entire time.

After more than two decades, one of the most recognizable sounds connected to Trish Stratus finally has the right name attached to it.

Did you always know that Lil’ Kim provided the laugh in Trish Stratus’ WWE entrance music, or did you think it was Stratus? Let us know in the comments and leave your feedback.
