Sol Ruca had a major moment after capturing the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship, but there wasn’t much time for her to slow down and take it all in.
Ruca appeared on TMZ’s Inside the Ring after defeating Becky Lynch for the title in Italy. During the conversation, she was asked what happened after she walked through the curtain following the match, including who she spoke with, how she celebrated, and what Triple H said to her. Ruca explained that she got the now-familiar Triple H photo and point backstage, along with some praise and feedback after her win.
“Well, I got the point. I got the picture and the point obviously. He gave me, you know, the congrats, like great job, really proud of you, all that. I had interviews right after. So it was really kind of just like go, go, go as soon as I, you know, came back, took the picture, got some feedback, and then it was interview after interview.”
Ruca said the celebration did not stop there, as she also did the post-show before finally getting a chance to enjoy the night with some of the women backstage.
“Then I did the post show. And then afterwards, some of us just like hung out and went out to catering and just kind of enjoyed the rest of our night. And yeah, just hung out with some of the girls like Bayley and Lyra and all them and it was really fun to, I feel like, finally have that moment of like, I’m here to stay in a way. So it was just a really cool experience, just the whole day, even though it was like very fast-paced. It was a lot of fun.”
The win marked Ruca’s first major title on WWE’s main roster, and doing it against Becky Lynch gave the moment even more weight. While the night was packed with media and post-match obligations, Ruca made it clear that the backstage reaction helped make the moment feel real.
Ruca is now moving forward as WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion, and her comments show just how quickly life changes after winning gold on the main roster. Between Triple H’s congratulations, the post-show duties, and time spent with Bayley and Lyra Valkyria, Ruca’s title win turned into a full-circle moment backstage.
