Trick Williams Wins WWE United States Title At WrestleMania 42

WrestleMania 42 Night 2 brought a massive crowd to Allegiant Stadium, packed despite sky-high ticket prices, with big moments on the card, including the United States Championship match.

Sami Zayn vs. Trick Williams was booked for WrestleMania 42 in a real battle of the old versus the new guard. Williams is a hotshot from NXT, with a lot of wins under his belt, but the main roster is another world. Sami Zayn’s United States Title win put a target on his back, and that set up this encounter at the show of shows.

Lil Yachty came out to introduce Trick Williams after Sami Zayn received a lackluster reaction from fans. Of course, everyone was ready to chant, “Whoop That Trick!” Trick also had a train on his jacket that was 70 yards long as it stretched all the way up the ramp.

When the match got started, fans were more than ready to see the two throw down. Although Trick Williams had the upperhand for a bit, Sami Zayn was able to take control. The contest included a few hard spots, including a brainbuster from Sami to Trick on the ring apron.

Sami landed a Helluva Kick on the outside and left Trick as the referee counted to ten. Then Lil Yachty got involved and that almost got a win for Trick Williams. After that, Trick almost hit the referee, but then he ate an exploder suplex in the corner before a he hit a Trick Shot to reverse a Helluva Kick for the win. Now, Trick Williams is the United States Champion, and the SmackDown roster is not safe anymore.
