Trick Williams just hit another huge milestone in his breakout WWE run — because he now officially has his own day in South Carolina.
After exploding in popularity following his SmackDown call-up and capturing the United States Championship by defeating Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 42, Trick revealed on Instagram on May 12, 2026 that the city of Columbia, South Carolina officially declared May 12 as “Trick Williams Day.”
Williams shared video footage of the moment while thanking South Carolina House of Representatives member Hamilton Grant for helping make it happen. In the caption, Trick celebrated the honor while also hyping up this week’s WWE SmackDown event.
“Today has officially been named Trick Williams day in Columbia South Carolina. May 12th. Shout out to House of Representatives member Hamilton Grant. We turning it up at colonial life arena this Friday for WWE SMACKDOWN. Make sure you wearing all white. Get your tickets at Ticketmaster and use promo code LEMONPEPPER. Let’s talk about it”
The video itself featured Grant explaining that all 124 members of the South Carolina House of Representatives approved the recognition for the United States Champion.
“What’s going on, everyone? State Representative Hamilton Grant. Let’s talk about what just happened on live TV. Trick Williams is in the building. Today, all 124 members of the South Carolina House of Representatives gave Trick Williams his flowers—a House resolution making sure we appreciate you, making sure you know what you mean to the state of South Carolina.”

Now, with an official “Trick Williams Day” added to his growing list of accomplishments, WWE’s newest main roster star just got another clear sign of how big his popularity has become outside the ring as well.
