Vince McMahon has been gone from WWE for quite some time, but some traders are still putting real money on the idea that he could find his way back into the company.
Prediction market platform Kalshi currently gives McMahon roughly a 20% chance of returning to WWE in 2026. That means traders still see a comeback as unlikely, but the market has drawn more than $4,700 in volume, showing that the speculation has not completely gone away.
Vince McMahon Return Talk Has Not Gone Away
McMahon has not held a role with WWE since stepping away from the company, although the timeline has been complicated following the TKO merger and his brief return as Executive Chairman before resigning in early 2024.
Even with WWE moving forward under Triple H, debate about a possible McMahon comeback never fully disappeared. Some fans believe the company is better off without him, while others continue to argue WWE needs his fingerprints on the product again.
Former WWE General Manager Teddy Long recently fueled that conversation when he said, speaking to TMZ:
“I think what we got to do, we got to get Vince back so we can do this thing right and get the fans back on board.”
Whether people agree with Long or not, traders are clearly still paying attention.
Vince Russo Thinks McMahon Could Be Clearing The Deck
Teddy Long is not the only wrestling name talking about a possible McMahon comeback. Vince Russo also recently suggested during an interview on Interactive Wrestling Radio that McMahon may be positioning himself for a return. Russo said he never thought the day would come when McMahon was no longer running WWE, and he argued that the wrestling business has taken a hit without him in control. Russo pointed to McMahon’s legal situation and claimed things may be moving in a direction that could open the door again.
“I never thought the day would come in a million years. I think the wrestling business is a lot worse without Vince McMahon. And I think currently Vince is clearing the deck to make a big comeback.”
Russo also claimed that people around TKO may not be happy with WWE’s current television viewership, even if the company is still landing major business deals.
“There is nobody in the world that can tell me that the people running TKO are happy with the numbers. I’m talking TV numbers, viewership numbers, not dollars and cents.”
When asked if he meant McMahon returning to WWE or starting something new, Russo made it clear he was talking about WWE.
“I really believe that they’re clearing the field and Vince is gonna be back in the saddle again.”
That does not mean WWE is actually planning anything, but it does show why the speculation has not died down.
Thousands Of Dollars Have Been Bet On A Return
Kalshi currently has an active prediction market asking whether Vince McMahon will return to WWE before the end of 2026.
More than $4,700 has already been traded on the market, with traders currently putting the odds of a return at roughly 20%. That number has moved throughout the year as headlines surrounding McMahon have changed, but it has recently dropped, suggesting traders have become less confident that a comeback is actually coming.
Prediction markets work differently than traditional sportsbooks. Instead of fixed betting odds, users trade contracts based on whether they believe an event will happen. The market then moves based on that trading activity.
Why WWE Makes This So Weird
WWE is not like the NFL, NBA, UFC, or any other traditional sport. Wins and losses are part of a creative plan, not a live competition.
That makes a Vince McMahon return market very different from betting on a game. Traders are not trying to figure out which team is better. They are trying to read headlines, legal developments, corporate movement, wrestling chatter, and whatever hints they believe might point toward WWE’s next move.
That is also why WWE-related prediction markets can get messy fast. The company’s biggest decisions are made behind closed doors, and wrestling fans know plans can change at any time.
The Market Does Not Mean WWE Is Bringing Him Back
A 20% chance on Kalshi does not mean WWE is actually preparing to bring Vince McMahon back. It only reflects what traders are willing to buy and sell right now.
Fans interested in learning more about how Kalshi works can review the current Kalshi referral code, which explains how new users can access the platform and its prediction markets.
For now, the market says a McMahon return is still unlikely. Still, the fact that money is being traded on the idea at all says plenty about how much attention his name still gets.
Vince McMahon’s Shadow Is Still There
WWE has moved into a very different era without Vince McMahon running the show, but his shadow is still impossible to ignore. Between Teddy Long calling for him to come back, Vince Russo claiming the field could be clearing, and traders still putting money on the possibility, the conversation is clearly not over.
That does not mean McMahon is walking back through the door. It does mean people are still watching closely, even if the odds say a return remains a long shot.
