Tony Khan made a last-minute addition to tonight’s August 8 episode of AEW Collision, but there may be even more changes to the card that fans didn’t get to hear.
During a Twitter stream ahead of the show, Khan announced that The Brawling Birds will take on Viva Van and VertVixen in a newly added tag team match.
“The Brawling Birds vs. Viva Van and VertVixen.”
That match joins an already loaded Collision lineup featuring the start of the AEW Continental Cup and a women’s tag team match involving TBS Champion Maya World.
However, things got messy immediately after Khan revealed the match. The Twitter stream lost its audio, meaning it’s unclear whether Khan announced any additional matches or changes to tonight’s card after The Brawling Birds vs. Viva Van and VertVixen was confirmed.
As things currently stand, the updated AEW Collision lineup for August 8 includes:
- AEW Continental Cup First Round: Orange Cassidy vs. Matt Sydal
- AEW Continental Cup First Round: Claudio Castagnoli vs. Ace Austin
- AEW Continental Cup First Round: Jake Doyle vs. Eddie Kingston
- Maya World & Hyan vs. Persephone & Hikaru Shida
- The Brawling Birds vs. Viva Van & VertVixen
The Brawling Birds vs. Viva Van and VertVixen is now officially part of the show, but there could still be more additions that weren’t heard because of the audio issue.
