TNA Wrestling is getting a new television home in Germany, and fans won’t need a subscription to watch it. Starting next week, the company is officially heading back to German free-to-air television.
SPORT1 announced that it will begin airing TNA Wrestling every Tuesday starting November 3, 2026. The weekly broadcasts will air at 10:15 PM with German commentary. The network is bringing in Denis Pötzsch and Walandi Tsanti to handle commentary, and both guys already have plenty of wrestling experience.
Pötzsch previously called TNA programming during the company’s Impact era, so this is basically a homecoming for him. Tsanti should also be pretty familiar to German wrestling fans after spending ten years calling WWE SmackDown. SPORT1 Chief Content & Distribution Officer Andreas Gerhardt explained that bringing TNA aboard fits directly into the network’s plans to expand its sports programming.
“We are expanding our sports programming step by step, and TNA Wrestling fits perfectly into this strategy. The brand has a long tradition while also being a modern, fast-paced product. This allows us to reach both die-hard wrestling fans and people who are experiencing the sport for the first time with us. Starting in November, TNA will be broadcast on free-to-air television on SPORT1.”
Pötzsch is also pretty excited about getting behind the microphone for TNA again after previously working with the company years ago.
“Walandi and I are really looking forward to presenting TNA Wrestling to fans on SPORT1 as commentators. TNA is a fascinating wrestling brand with over 20 years of history and at the same time an extremely modern, dynamic product. For me personally, it’s also a very special homecoming, as I was already on the microphone for the shows back in the Impact days. What can viewers expect on SPORT1? In three words: ‘Total Nonstop Action.’”
Getting weekly free-to-air television is another nice distribution win for TNA, especially with SPORT1 specifically looking to introduce the product to people who may not already be wrestling fans. German viewers will get their first taste of the new arrangement on November 3.
