TNA Lockdown is finally coming back—and after more than a decade off the calendar, the company just confirmed when and where it’s happening.
After being off the calendar for years, Lockdown is returning in 2026, marking the first time the steel cage-themed show is back in over a decade. The event had been absent since its final installment in 2016, but that drought is now over.
TNA confirmed the news on Twitter on April 16, 2026, revealing that Lockdown is set for August 23rd from the Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago, airing live on pay-per-view and TNA+.
“BREAKING: TNA Lockdown returns for the first time in over a decade broadcasting live on PPV and TNA+ from Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago on August 23! Pre-sale begins April 22, tickets go on-sale April 24! #TNALockdown”
That announcement brings back one of the promotion’s most recognizable concepts, with Lockdown historically built around an all-steel cage format featuring matches like Lethal Lockdown and other high-stakes stipulations.
This isn’t just a nostalgia play either—TNA is positioning the event as a major comeback moment, bringing it to a strong wrestling market and giving it full PPV treatment. After years on the sidelines, Lockdown is back in a big way—and now all eyes are on how TNA rebuilds the card around one of its most unique event formats.
