TNA is down to the final four in the Knockouts Television Championship tournament, with both semifinal matches officially locked in following the August 6 episode of Thursday Night iMPACT on AMC.
Heather by Elegance punched her ticket to the semifinals by defeating Mara Sadè. The loss came as Sadè’s run with TNA reached its end, with the company confirming that her contract had expired and she was leaving the promotion.
Sadè still showed up and worked the television taping despite no longer being under contract. It was noted that she chose to honor the booking even though she was not contractually obligated to compete. With Heather advancing, the tournament now comes down to two semifinal matches.
Heather by Elegance will face Jada Stone, while Indi Hartwell will take on M by Elegance. That also creates the possibility of an all-Elegance final if Heather and M both survive their semifinal matches. Indi Hartwell and Jada Stone will have something to say about that before TNA crowns the first Knockouts Television Champion.
The field started much larger, but TNA is now just two matches away from determining who will fight for the new championship. With Heather by Elegance, Jada Stone, Indi Hartwell and M by Elegance still alive, the tournament is officially entering its final stretch.
