TNA just dropped a major Slammiversary tease, and it looks like Amazing Red could be on his way back.

TNA President Carlos Silva posted a short teaser on Twitter, writing: “SLAMM is gonna be Amazing” Silva also included a red square, which immediately pointed fans toward Amazing Red. Afterwards, the official TNA account posted a video teasing Amazing Red with the Slammiversary logo.

Slammiversary is set for Sunday, June 28, and this new tease has added another interesting piece to the card. As of now, TNA has not confirmed who Red would face if he appears at the event later this month.

Amazing Red has remained active in the ring through House of Glory and has also made select appearances for other independent promotions. However, he has not wrestled for TNA since 2011, when he competed at Destination X. Red’s history with TNA goes way back. He first appeared for the company in 2002 at the sixth NWA: TNA weekly event and later became a three-time X-Division Champion.

TNA already moved Slammiversary to a 3 PM ET start time on Sunday, June 28, giving the show space from AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door later that night. Now, the company may be adding a nostalgic X-Division name to the mix with Amazing Red.

If this tease leads to a real return, Slammiversary could get a serious throwback moment for longtime TNA fans. Amazing Red helped define the early X-Division style, and bringing him back on one of the company’s biggest nights would be a smart way to connect TNA’s past with its current roster.
