TNA has been on a roll and aims to keep the excitement going at the upcoming Bound for Glory pay-per-view. With a stacked lineup of matches, fans can expect a really memorable show full of big moments that will be talked about long after it ends.
TNA World Championship: Nic Nemeth (c) vs. Leon Slater
Leon Slater gave up one championship for the chance to win an even bigger one. After invoking Option C at Lockdown, Slater officially vacated the X-Division Championship and earned a shot at Nic Nemeth’s TNA World Championship. Now he gets that opportunity on TNA’s biggest stage.
There’s also some history sitting right in front of Slater. If he beats Nemeth, he’ll become the youngest TNA World Champion of all time. Nemeth obviously isn’t interested in being the guy who lets that happen. The Wanted Man walks into Tampa with the championship, but Slater has already sacrificed his previous title to get here. Now we’ll find out whether that gamble pays off.
TNA Knockouts World Championship: Xia Brookside (c) vs. Indi Hartwell
Indi Hartwell has wanted Xia Brookside and the Knockouts World Championship for months. Tonight, she finally gets both. Hartwell repeatedly tried to get her championship opportunity, only for Director of Operations Daria Rae to stand in the way. Santino Marella eventually stepped in and made the match official. There isn’t anything stopping Hartwell now. She gets Brookside one-on-one with the Knockouts World Championship on the line.
Six-Way Match for the Vacant TNA X-Division Championship: Cedric Alexander vs. Fabian Aichner vs. Rich Swann vs. KC Navarro vs. BDE vs. Ryan Nemeth
Leon Slater’s decision to invoke Option C left the X-Division Championship without an owner. Tonight, that changes. TNA held qualifying matches over the past several weeks to narrow the field down to six wrestlers, with all six now fighting for the vacant championship at Bound for Glory. So we’ll have to see who will become the new champion when all is said and done.
TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship: Allie & Kiera Hogan (c) vs. Zoey Serrano & Shayna Baszler
Allie and Kiera Hogan asked for a fight, and Zoey Serrano found herself a pretty dangerous partner. Serrano will team with former five-time WWE Champion Shayna Baszler to challenge for the Knockouts World Tag Team Championship. It also marks Baszler’s TNA debut, and she isn’t exactly easing her way into things. Her first match comes with championship gold immediately within reach. So it remains to be seen who’ll come out on top in the end.
No DQ Falls Count Anywhere Tag Team Match: The Hardys vs. syX
The Hardys finally know who has been attacking people around TNA. Now they get the chance to do something about it. After weeks of mystery attacks on TNA talent, syX finally revealed themselves and left Matt and Jeff Hardy laid out in the ring. The Hardys will now face Joseph Sawyer and Samuel Show in a Falls Count Anywhere match. So fans are waiting to see who’ll win in the end.
Other Matches and Segments
Twenty wrestlers will compete in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet. In another match, Ricky Sosa goes one-on-one with Eddie Edwards. Max Caster will make his TNA debut as he squares off against Moose in singles competition after answering his open challenge.
Mustafa Ali defends the TNA International Championship against Jason Hotch, John Skyler and Agent Zero. Finally, the TNA Hall of Fame induction ceremony will also take place before the main show as ODB, Konnan and The Amazing Red get inducted.
