Thekla took things to another level on AEW Dynamite this week, and STARDOM’s president was not happy about it.

During the June 3 episode of AEW Dynamite, AEW Women’s Champion Thekla turned her attention to Forbidden Door, which will feature talent from AEW, CMLL, NJPW, and STARDOM. The segment quickly became a direct shot at STARDOM.

Thekla reminded fans that she was called “The Idol Killer” during her time in STARDOM because she took out everyone’s favorite stars. She then made it clear that she was not just declaring war on the promotion, she was declaring death.

Things escalated when Thekla climbed a ladder in front of the big screen and spat on the STARDOM logo. The moment immediately stood out on the broadcast and added even more heat to her issue with the promotion. The AEW commentary team apologized after the moment happened, but the reaction did not stop there.

STARDOM President Taro Okada later responded on social media and made it clear that he was furious over what Thekla did. Okada called it a vulgar, cowardly, and shameful act before calling it unforgivable.

“A vulgar, cowardly, and shameful act. Unforgivable,” he wrote.

The segment came as AEW continues building toward Forbidden Door, where STARDOM will be part of the larger crossover event. Thekla made sure her message was loud and clear, but Okada’s response shows that STARDOM is not just brushing it off.

What did you think about Thekla spitting on the STARDOM logo during AEW Dynamite? Did the segment go too far, or was this the right kind of heat heading into Forbidden Door? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comments section below.
