After Steven Borden’s match ended with a scary head collision, Tony Khan delivered some welcome news at the AEW All Out post-show panel. Khan said Borden’s tests came back good and that he hoped Sting’s son would be able to fly home to his family the next day.
Borden was competing alongside Darby Allin against Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher in a match for a future shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championship. After Borden got the hot tag and hit several moves, he came off the ropes and collided with Knight, striking his head. The referee immediately stopped the match, and Borden was taken to the hospital. Khan opened the panel by addressing Borden directly and sharing the latest on his condition.
“All the tests have come back good, and hopefully tomorrow he will be able to fly home to his family.”
The update followed Tony Schiavone’s earlier announcement that Borden had undergone a CAT scan, was talking with doctors and was asking about the match. Khan didn’t provide specific details about the tests, but his remarks offered a hopeful update after the abrupt stoppage.
