The mystery opponent for Persephone’s TBS Championship open challenge is finally out in the open. Dani Luna stepped up to face the champion at AEW All Out on September 26, 2026, making her AEW debut after leaving TNA earlier this year.
Persephone had opened the challenge to the rest of the roster while specifically ruling out Maya World, Hyan and Thunder Rosa. That left fans guessing who would walk out in Chicago, and Luna became the answer.
Luna is no stranger to championship matches. She spent nearly three years in TNA, where she became a two-time Knockouts World Tag Team Champion with Jody Threat, and also came through WWE’s NXT UK system. Ringside News reported on Luna’s TNA departure, which made her a free agent in March.
Her All Out appearance follows weeks of speculation about where she would land next. Ringside News also reported before the show that Luna was expected to answer Persephone’s challenge, and now she has made her AEW arrival official by stepping into the ring with the TBS Champion.
