Big Cass is on his way back to WWE, and the comeback appears ready to go down on tonight’s episode of Raw. The former AEW star is backstage at the show in Des Moines, Iowa, where WWE is keeping him hidden before the broadcast.
PWInsider reports that Cass is inside the building and the expectation is that he will make a surprise appearance during the show. At this point, this is no longer just another teaser or online rumor. He is backstage, WWE has been setting the table for weeks, and the return looks ready to happen.
Cass recently finished his run with AEW, where he competed under the name Big Bill. He informed the company that he would not be signing a new contract, opening the door for him to head back to WWE several years after his original exit.
WWE has also aired a series of teaser vignettes believed to be connected to Cass. Those videos now appear to have been leading directly to tonight, with the company expected to finally reveal him and launch whatever storyline is waiting.
The biggest question is not whether Cass is coming back. It is how WWE plans to use him once he walks through the curtain. He could return alone, align with someone immediately or make his presence felt by wrecking an established name on Raw. Big Cass is backstage, the surprise is being protected, and his WWE return appears to be only a matter of time.
