WWE is expected to kick off the October 16 episode of Friday Night SmackDown with Sami Zayn right in the spotlight.
According to Viper Reports, the current plan is for an Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn segment to open the show.
That would put the world title picture front and center coming out of Money in the Bank, but this is still an early lineup. As always with WWE television, plans can change before the show goes live.
Here is the current lineup for tonight:
- Sami Zayn is expected to open the show with an Undisputed WWE Championship segment
- Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton will come face-to-face
- Nikki Bella will face Paige
- R-Truth will face Damian Priest
The October 16 episode of SmackDown takes place from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California, and airs at 8 PM ET on USA Network. Ringside News will have full coverage of WWE SmackDown throughout the night with live results and match-by-match updates.
