WWE looks ready to end tonight’s SmackDown with gold on the line. The October 9 go-home show before Money in the Bank already has plenty loaded into the early rundown, and the current plan has the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match sitting in the closing spot.
According to Viper Reports, Fatal Influence defending the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships against Charlotte Flair and Tatum Paxley is currently listed as the final match on tonight’s early SmackDown rundown. That puts Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid in a pretty major position as they defend against Flair and Paxley with Money in the Bank just one night away.
As always, this is based on the early rundown and things can absolutely change before or even during the live broadcast. WWE regularly shifts match order and segment timing depending on how the show develops.
The rundown is already shaping up to be pretty loaded at both ends. A six-woman tag team match featuring all of the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match participants is currently listed as the first match of the night, while CM Punk is also set for an opening segment.
Now the back end of the show appears to belong to Fatal Influence, Flair and Paxley. If WWE sticks with the current plan, SmackDown is going to open with the women’s Money in the Bank field tearing into each other and close with the Women’s Tag Team Titles hanging in the balance. That’s a pretty aggressive way to book the final show before one of the biggest nights on the calendar.
Do you think Charlotte Flair and Tatum Paxley should leave SmackDown with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, or should Fatal Influence keep the belts? Let us know your thoughts and feedback in the comments.
