WWE appears ready to save one of the biggest matches on the October 2, 2026 episode of SmackDown for last. The early rundown has Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens and Johnny Gargano fighting for the final Men’s Money in the Bank spot in the closing match of the night.

According to Viper Reports, the Men’s Money in the Bank Triple Threat Qualifying Match is currently listed to close SmackDown from the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. That puts some serious stakes on the final minutes of the show. Rhodes, Owens and Gargano are fighting over the last available ticket to the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match, and only one of them is leaving Denver with it.

As always, this information comes from an early WWE rundown, so the order is not set in stone. WWE can reshuffle matches and segments at any point before or even during the live broadcast, meaning the planned closing match could still change before SmackDown hits the air.

Ringside News will have complete live play-by-play coverage of SmackDown in our WWE SmackDown results section beginning at 8 PM ET on the USA Network.

Who do you think should win between Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens and Johnny Gargano and claim the final Men’s Money in the Bank spot? Let us know your thoughts and feedback in the comments.
