The June 8 episode of WWE RAW took place at the Accor Arena in Paris, France. The special early broadcast featured several major matches as WWE continued building toward Night of Champions later this month.

One of the biggest matches of the night saw Women’s Intercontinental Champion Sol Ruca defend her title against Lyra Valkyria. This was quite a match, as Sol Ruca was looking to prove herself as champion, and Lyra fought to reclaim the championship that she had lost.

With the Women’s Intercontinental Championship on the line, both women had plenty to prove. Fans in Paris were ready for this match, as they got to see a championship defense with their own eyes.

Fans were more than ready for this match as it capped off the first hour of the show. Both competitors battled through a commercial break, and there were several near falls as fans chanted for both of them.

Then Sol Ruca was able to nail a Sol Snatcher out of nowhere to retain the title. This was a hard-fought victory as Ruca was able to prove herself with her first defense.
