Sid Vicious’ Hall of Fame induction was supposed to be a celebration—but his son says WWE dropped the ball and he’s now called them out in a big way.
Following the 2026 Hall of Fame ceremony in Las Vegas, Gunnar Eudy took to Facebook with a lengthy message reacting to how his late father, Sid Eudy, was honored. While he opened on a positive note, it didn’t take long before his tone shifted.
He began by thanking fans for standing by the family during the moment, making it clear the support hadn’t gone unnoticed. But after that, Gunnar made it clear he felt the actual induction didn’t match the respect his father deserved, calling out the overall presentation.
“Thank you to everyone for all the love and support you’ve shown our family. It means the world… Last night’s so-called ‘Hall of Fame induction’… was straight up disappointing and disrespectful as hell.”
He then went further, claiming that even during a moment meant to honor Sid, it felt like WWE didn’t do enough to spotlight his legacy. Gunnar also pointed to what he saw as a lack of visibility throughout WrestleMania weekend, saying he didn’t notice any promotion for his father around Las Vegas.
“I’m glad my dad was big enough to put himself over even in death, because WWE damn sure wouldn’t. I didn’t see one single ad for him here in Vegas.”
That frustration carried over to the Hall of Fame setup itself, where he claimed Sid wasn’t represented at all in merchandise while others were heavily featured. According to Gunnar, the entire experience gave off the impression that Sid’s induction was rushed and treated like an afterthought rather than a major moment.
“The Hall of Fame gift shop had zero merch for my dad not a damn thing… but they were loaded with all the Dennis Rodman crap you could want. It felt like they just swept him under the rug like a footnote, rushing to get him out of the way.”
He also suggested that lingering issues from the past may have played a role in how his father was ultimately recognized. Despite the frustration, Gunnar admitted there was still one personal moment that made the experience meaningful—bringing his own son to witness it.
“Maybe if we had waited another 20 years… he would’ve finally gotten the full induction he actually deserved. He just got to see his hero honored. That moment with my boy made it worth it.”
He added that while much of the night didn’t sit right with him, at least one part of it felt real—the Hall of Fame ring. Gunnar closed things out with a tribute to his father, making it clear that regardless of how WWE handled the moment, Sid’s legacy stands on its own.
“And at least we walked away with the real Hall of Fame ring… while the rest of this felt like a slap in the face.Rest in power, Dad… even if WWE tried to shortchange you one last time.”
Bottom line — what should’ve been a celebration has now turned into a public callout, with Sid Vicious’ own son saying the company didn’t deliver when it mattered most. Whether WWE responds or not, this has already changed the conversation around the induction.
