Dreamwave Wrestling is dealing with a big shake-up ahead of All Star Weekend.
The promotion announced that several WWE I.D. talents will no longer appear at the June 19 and June 20 events because of a WWE contractual obligation. The names pulled from the show are Veronica Haven, also known as Fallyn Grey, Sloane Jacobs, also known as The Notorious Mimi, Anya Rune, also known as Airica Demia, and WWE I.D. Women’s Champion Laynie Luck.
Dreamwave made the announcement while explaining that everyone involved had just been informed of the WWE-related obligation.
“Due to a WWE contractual obligation that everyone was informed of today, the following talent will not be appearing at #AllStarWeekend on June 19th and 20th: Veronica Haven (Fallyn Grey), Sloane Jacobs (The Notorious Mimi), Anya Rune (Airica Demia), Laynie Luck.”
That wasn’t the only change to the lineup. Dreamwave also revealed that Aminah Belmont is off the show because of an injury. With multiple names now off the card, Dreamwave apologized to fans and confirmed that previously announced matches will be changed.
“Due to an injury, Aminah Belmont will not be competing at All Star Weekend. We wish her a speedy recovery!”
“We apologize for the inconvenience, any matches already announced will be updated soon.”
It’s a rough hit for Dreamwave this close to All Star Weekend, especially with multiple WWE I.D. names being removed at once. Laynie Luck being pulled also stands out since she currently holds the WWE I.D. Women’s Championship.
Dreamwave now has to rework the card before fans arrive on June 19 and June 20. The promotion didn’t reveal the exact nature of the WWE contractual obligation, but the end result is clear: several advertised names are no longer appearing.
